He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin W. Bittner and Anna Bittner (Walter); and his siblings, Ruth Billman, Elsie Letterman, Marvin Bittner (Bud) and Lee Bittner.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Bittner (LeVan); his children, Tammy Bittner of Catawissa, Todd Bittner (Elsie) of Catawissa, Greg Bittner (Donna) of Catawissa and Susan Sinton (Bob) of Fredericksburg; his grandchildren, Joel, Corey, Logan and Emily; and his great grandchildren, Mason and Oliver.
