He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin H. Young and Florence Young (Bacon); his daughter Christine Mary Ann Young; and his siblings, Robert Lee Young, Sr. and Dorothy Graham.
He is survived by: his wife Christine A. Young (Dawson); his son James J. Young, Jr. (Donna A.); his granddaughters, Corrina I. Schrader (Devyn J.), Chandra G. Simons (Erik W.), Talisa R. Young (McKenna A. Grove), Joselyn M. Smith (Ryan W.), Jessica F. Strawser (Justin L.) and Janella E. Remphrey; his great grandchildren, Krysta, Aiden, Gauge, Dawson, Bentley, Kassandra, Harley, Adayln, Kolt and Alannah; and his sister Ruth A. Waters. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
