We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2023, at the age of 84, James W. McCarthy of Catawissa, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph McCarthy and Minnie McCarthy (Fetterman); and his brothers, Joseph McCarthy, Dennis McCarthy and Jay McCarthy.

He is survived by : his pet Orphy; his children, Megan Hare (Zachary) of Hanover, Diane McCormick (Mark) of Catawissa, James A. McCarthy (Kathy) of Milton, Patrick A. McCarthy of Harrisburg, Todd J. McCarthy of Catawissa and Holly Saxton (Michael) of Sunbury; and his siblings, Rose Malkoski of Catawissa, Dean McCarthy of Bloomsburg and William McCarthy of Danville. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
