She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Karpovitch and Martha Karpovitch (Stephens); her former husband Willard F. Helwig Jr.; her brother Charles G. Karpovitch; and her niece Melissa Karpovitch.
She is survived by: her husband John Griffith of Bloomsburg; her sons, Willard "Skeeter" Helwig III (Sue) of Catawissa, John Griffith of Bloomsburg and Gary Griffith (Sue) of Quarryville; her grandchildren, Tara Vining, Josh Helwig, Katie Poole, Jeremy Hutson and Kelly Sheaffer; her niece Diane Martin; her nephews, Dave Griffith and Charles E. Karpovitch; and her sister-in-law Mary Karpovitch.
