She was predeceased by: her husband Frank A. Smale; her parents, William Tait and Martha Tait (Millen); her son-in-law John T. Geiger; and her brothers, Samuel and Wilson Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Jane Geiger, Deborah Tullock (Jim), Yvonne McDermott (Joe) and Todd Smale (Deb). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren.
