He was predeceased by: his parent James Emery; and his sister Judy Spaar. He is survived by: his spouse Margaret A. Gaul (Miner); his parent Josephine Gaul (Muscler); his children, Alan M. Gaul and AmyJo; his brother James Gaul; and his grandchildren, Jack, Ross, Devin and Colin.
