She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund and Virginia Haig Passehl of Milwaukee; her grandparents, John and Amelia Haig of Antigo; her nephew Chris Carroll of Ocean Beach, CA; her uncle Ted Haig of Antigo; her aunt Lee Haig of Antigo; and her cousin Jim Waddell of Antigo.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Bertz; her son Benjamin Bertz; her sister Mary Carroll (Brian) of Lake Ridge, VA; her niece Kate DeSantis (Patrick) of Hunt Valley, MD; her great-nieces, Libby, Roey DeSantis of Hunt Valley, MD and Chloe Carroll of San Marcos, CA; her great-nephew Christian; her brother-in-law Robert Bertz (Ann); her nephews, Randy (Amber), Sam (Melissa) and Evan Bertz; and her cousin Maggie Selner (Jonah).
