He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman L. Simpson and Agnes Simpson (Clark); and his former wife Ellen "Kitty" Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Carol Simpson (Munce); his children, Sue Tylka (Ted), Keith Simpson (Kim), Doug Simpson (Jackie Van Tassel) and Judy Simpson; his stepchildren, Carol Wickline (Wally), Sunnie Klobchar (Roger) and Marci Joy; and his sister Dolores Sapienza.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his name to the American Cancer Society.
