With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Georgia Lindsay of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, born in Washington, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 24, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Brown and Margaret Nowlin Brown; her children, Rosalind Brevard (Lemoin) of Stafford, VA, George Lindsay (Bernadine) of Lancaster, CA and Thomas Walden (Natalie) of Stafford, VA; her siblings, Ella Twitty of Flint, MI, Alberta Brown of New York, NY and Pastor Charles Brown of Pittsburgh; her sister-in-law Elaine Brown of Oakdale; her close friend Lucy Lewis; her daughter Ocie Ponton; her siblings, Ann Reeves, Vincent S. Brown and William F. Brown; and also Sallie Willoughby. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
COVID-19 vaccination or proof of negative COVID test will be required. The service will adhere to social distance guidelines and masks will be required.
