He was predeceased by: his grandson Nicholas; his parents, Joseph Gartner and Marcella Gartner; and his brothers, Joseph, Paul and Richard Gartner.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou (Kummer); his children, Sue O'Keefe (Bernie), Dave Gartner, Sherry Reilly (Brian), Jim Gartner (Patricia), Jeanne Earp (Doug) and Judy Mattivi (Mike); his grandchildren, Bernie (Katie), Karen, Amy O'Keefe, Megan Barca (Josh), Matthew (Kim), Hannah Reilly, Jonathan Turnbull-Reilly (Adrienne), Kirsten VandenBout (Mark), Emma Wright (Paul), Nicole Spare (Pat), Lindsay Madore (Josh), Angela Gartner, Nathan, Michaela and Marcy Mattivi; his great grandchildren, Kelly, Elly, Bubba, Joey O'Keefe, Maddie, Claire, Walter Barca, Mason, Carter Spare, Emily, Lucia, Abby, Sienna, Finn, Charlotte, Connor Madore and Turnbull-Reilly; and his sisters-in-law, Eleanore and Florence Gartner. He is also survived by 6 children, 16 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, October 14, 2021, 10:30 a. m. Holy Family Parish (St. Joseph Catholic Church) Please wear a mask during viewing and funeral mass.
