He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Young and Blanche Young; his wife Judith Young (Beaumont); and his daughter Beth Young. He is survived by: his children, Kirk Young (Kathleen) and Sherry Young; his grandchildren, Katie Hallet (Shane), Ryan Young (Sydney) and Delaney Young; his great grandchild Mina Hallet; and his sister Norma Shaffer (late Boyd). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
