He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Jean Watona Zalar (Jim Zalar) of Carmichaels; and his uncle George Smoody. He is survived by: his wife Tracy R. Zalar (Ganocy); his children, Kaitlyn Marie Zalar of Leesburg, VA, Andrew Nicholas Zalar of Leesburg, VA and Jackson Leonard Zalar of Leesburg, VA; the father of his child Jim Zalar; his stepmother Paula Zalar of Carmichaels; his stepchildren, Chelsee McFarland (Scott) of Lakewood, CO and Shelbee McCann; his stepsister Melissa Dlugos (James); his nephew Matthew; his niece Sophie; his stepbrother Jim Jones (Lisa); his niece Cara; his parents-in-law, Ken and Betty Ganocy; his sister-in-law Shannon Adamson; and his nephews, Ambrose and Aydan.
