He was predeceased by: his parents, E. M. Kennedy and Leona Kennedy (Brown); his siblings, Robert, Denzel, Clyde, Ralph, Tom Kennedy, Goldie, Margret and Lucille Kennedy; and his children, Bruce Edward Kenndy, Beth Ann Herrod (Kennedy) and Jennifer Stern.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Kennedy (D'Angelo); his daughter Brenda Lee Carroll (Tim) of Orange Park, FL; his grandchildren, Terra Rose Herrod, C. J. Herrod, Sarah and Justin Kennedy; and his sister Shirley Lawrence of Lancaster, PA..
