He was predeceased by: his father Mad; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Evans, Ernestine Bryant, Alveris R. Cohen and Adriane R. Evans; his grandson Rashad Harris; and his nephew Darias Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Dora Evans; his children, Donald "DeeJay" Evans, Jr., LaQuita Fletcher, Jeanna, Mamie, Hilda, William "Turk", Aaron, Courtney, Crystal and Mario; his extended family, Sean Cooper, William Issac and Kinta Stanton; his brothers, Darrell Evans, Clinton Cohen, Bev and Bug English; his nieces, Stacey Evans and Gabriella Locke; his great-niece Lailah; his great-nephew Kenyan; and his close friend Missy Scott. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
