Brenda Ann Markulik Obituary
Brenda Ann Markulik, 58, of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. after a lengthy illness. She was born December 16, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Dolores A. (Lescar) Markulik of Carmichaels and the late Bernard A. Markulik. Brenda was a 1981 graduate of Normandy High School, Parma, Ohio.
She completed training in culinary arts and worked at several restaurants in the Cleveland area. Brenda then worked in tactical security services at Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Perry, Ohio for about 10 years. She moved to Florida in 1998 and worked as a high security officer for Northern Florida Firearms for a year before relocating again to Ohio to work security at Deaconess Hospital in Cleveland for seven years.
In 2005, Brenda moved to reside with her mother, Dolores, in Carmichaels. She was a member of the St. Matthias Parish in Carmichaels and Cumberland American Legion Post 400 Auxiliary. Surviving in addition to her mother, Dolores, are two brothers, Jeffrey F. Markulik (Mark) of Atlantic Beach, Fla. and David W. Markulik (Christine) of Parma; two sisters, Sharon L. Centner (David) of Sharon Center, Ohio and Bernadette Emilio of Uniontown; nieces and nephews, Jacquelyn, Sarabeth, Krystle, Christopher, Matthew, David, Alicia, Brittany, Shannon and Zachary and several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. A blessing service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, followed at 11:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Matthias Parish at St. Hugh, 408 Route 88, Carmichaels with the Rev. Albin C. McGinnis as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
