He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie T. Brown and Ruby Brown; his son Michael Samuel Brown; and his siblings, Willie T. Brown Jr. (Red), Robert Brown, Mervin Brown, Joseph Brown, Julius Brown and Artis Brown.
He is survived by: his son Thommas Brown Jr. (Tawnya); his siblings, Janice Brown, Emma Wheeler, Helen Mack, Pamela Burris (Romalice) and Otis Brown; his grandchildren, Timothy Atkinson, Cole Hockensmith and Tyra Robinson (Rahsaan); and his great grandchildren, Kai Hockensmith and Ryleigh Robinson. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
