He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene M. Shearer and Thelma Shearer (Wiser); his sister Sandy Bossert; and his brother-in-law Lee Bossert. He is survived by: his children, Johnna J. Kopecky (Richard M. Jr.) of Lebanon and Michael M. Shearer (Sherry L. Orlowsky) of Fuquay Varina, NC; and his grandchildren, Amy N. Kopecky, Ricky M. Kopecky, III, Forrest T. Deily, Bailey M. Shearer and Connor M. Shearer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
