We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2024, at the age of 84, Robert Matthew Murphy of Carlisle, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mathew Murphy and Rose Marie Freeland (Pinelli); and his sister Gina (Murphy). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Murphy (Lynch); his children, Christopher Murphy (Maribeth) of Mechanicsburg, Kelli Murphy of Carlisle, Kathleen Morman (Jeff), Moscow, Kerri Andrews (Taylor) of Carlisle, Erinrose Velthuis (Ryan) and Tokyo; his grandchildren, Aislinn (Mathew), Justin, Megan, Conner, Brice, Kaitlyn, Ian, Audra and Colin; his great grandchild Sloane; and his siblings, Frank Roman (Cindy) of Buffalo, NY and Rose Marie Schuler (Jim) of Simpsonville, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Buhrig's Gathering Place (25 E Main St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the same location.
