He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph R. and Mary R. Smyth (Aughinbaugh); his wife Deborah Smyth (Kotzmoyer); and his brothers, Clarence Smyth and Gene Smyth.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Martin (Andy Schriver) of Carlisle and Todd Smyth (Stacy) of Elko, GA; and his sister Nancy Hoon of Killeen, TX. He is also survived by four grandsons; one granddaughter.
