She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold McKnight Caldwell and Celia Moore Caldwell; her husband Charles B. Austin; and her sister Betty McFarland. She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Charles B. Austin, Jr. (Jane) and William D. Austin; her grandchildren, Dr. Daniel Austin (Julianne), Dr. Matthew Austin (Katharine), John Austin (Hanna Kemeny), Ellie Austin and Carlie Austin; and her brother Harold Caldwell (Ann). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, three nieces, and three nephews.
