He was predeceased by: his siblings, Castulo Barrios Montenegro, Ana Isabel "Male" Barrios Montenegro and Yomaira Barrios Montenegro. He is survived by: his children, Jose Luis Barrios, Jr. of Washington, DC, Marisol Barrios-Moyer (David Moyer) of Mechanicsburg and Lucia Barrios Nader of Colombia; and his former spouse Adoracion Holland of Centre Hall.
