He is survived by: his wife Shirley Shumberger (Chaundy); his son James L. Shumberger, Jr. (Peggy) of Boiling Springs; his son-in-law Allen Deihl (Rocky) of Newville; his siblings, Thomas F. Shumberger of Mechanicsburg, Paul E. Shumberger of Carlisle and Freida Kann of Maryland; his grandchildren, Mark Shafer (Rosa), Melissa McClain (James), Michael J. Shumberger (Lois) and Ryan Shumberger (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Alayna McClain, Corey Beers and Nova Shumberger.
