He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Eugene and Esther R. Brandt (Harry); and his siblings, Tom, Don Brandt and Carol Tanger.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria "Jean" Brandt of Carlisle; his nephews, Jason, George, Tony and Jeff Brandt; and his niece Wendy Witmer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America or American Cancer society.
