It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gertrude Utley of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, born in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Sprute and Mathilda Sprute (Wink); her husband James B. Utley Jr.; and her siblings, Margaret Tomzcak and Fritz Sprute.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Diffenbaugh (Brad) of Mechanicsburg and Robert J. Utley of Gaithersburg, Maryland.; her grandsons, Nathan Diffenbaugh (Lisa) and Robert J. Utley Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Peytan, Joslyn and Jacoby Diffenbaugh.
