It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erma (Lingle) Carr of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Lingle and Emma Lingle (Aigler); her husband Robert "Thad" Thad Carr; and her siblings, Dorothy "Dottie" Koser, Carl A. Lingle and Roy A. Lingle.
She is survived by: her children, Caryn J. Carr (Donald E. Grell II) of Carlisle, PA, Robert Thad Carr II (Rebecca) of Cape Coral, FL, Randal Allen Carr (Susan) of Rogersville, TN and Margaret C. Upton (Clark) of Hillsboro Oregon; her grandchildren, Jeff Carr (Melissa), Jeniffer Bowen (Robert), James Carr (Rachel), Peter Carr (Kat), Kevin Carr (Theresa) and Ellen Upton; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Kyle, Brianna, Gabrielle, Grayson, Eric, Roman and Bobby; her great great grandchildren, Aspen, Lyken and Isaiah; her brother Larry Lee Lingle (Virginia); her sister-in-law Jere Carr; and her nieces and nephews, Steve Koser (Stacy), Linda Lingle, Diana Murphy, Elizabeth Jane Lingle, Roger Lingle (Reneé), Rebecca Hoffmaster (James), Carla Jane Blinkhorst (Tracy), Tony Carr and Robert M. Carr (Teresa).
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Church of God (705 Glendale St, Carlisle, PA 17013). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (4855 Londonderry Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17109).
