With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie Thacker of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 6, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Elsie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Elsie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rex Smith and Margaret Smith (Payne); her daughter Tisha M. Sparrow; and her sisters, Daisy Gallant and Doris Resio.
She is survived by: her children, Tonya S. Daugherty of Carlisle, Deborah L. Hood (John), Christopher M. Thacker (Brandee), Gigi M. Hogue (Robert) and Tina M. Hadley (David); and her sisters, Betty Pitts and Margaret Ellington. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
