He was predeceased by: his parents, Murry Lee Nickle and Mary K. Brownewell Nickle; his siblings, Lauretta Russell, Donald, Howard, Buddy and Robert Nickle; his son-in-law Charles Bair III; his stepdaughter Sharon K. Sheaffer; and his stepgrandson Timothy M. Sheaffer, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Minich Nickle of Carlisle; his children, Edward E. Nickle (Kathy) of Shippensburg, Tammy J. Armold (John) of Newville and Kathy J. Bair of Newville; and his sister Marlene Laughman (Robert Armold) of Newville. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
