The passing of Dennis P. Medvid of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, born in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 28, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Medvid and Michael Medvid; and his brother Stephen "Skip" Medvid. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie (Anderchin); his children, Mike Medvid of Carlisle and Gretchen Garlington (Joe) of Leesburg; his granddaughters, Katherine and Elizabeth Garlington; his siblings, Elaine Kandravy and Richard Medvid (Cindy); and his sister-in-law Debbie Medvid. He is also survived by niece and nephews.

Viewing was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Patrick Catholic Church (85 Marsh Dr, Carlisle, PA 17013). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

“For 26 years Denny, was the kind of neighbor everyone hopes they find in a neighbor, the kind you hope that you can be in return! He was always kind & caring toward our family, how we were doing. He was always there to lend a hand if needed. The kind of neighbor you could go sit on the porch with & just chat about life, & we did! He was a good friend to Paul, me, our kids & our beloved Molly who barked & stared up to his deck at every mention of his name! So grateful for your friendship Denny!”
