He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alston Broadnax and Lossie Curlear Jordan Broadnax; his wife Virginia Gould Broadnax; and his siblings, Mansfield, Henry Jr., Irvin, Richard, Bobby, Melvin, Cleo, Gladys and Sallie.
He is survived by: his children, Valerie White, Dr. Vanessa Broadnax and Dr. Cecil H. Broadnax, Jr.; his children-in-law, Robert and Alyse; his grandchildren, Dr. Cindy White, Louis Brown, Robert White 3rd, Cecil Broadnax 3rd, Randall White, Lauren Kingrey and Virginia Diggs; his great grandchildren, Cecilia, Camille, Cecil, Avery, Isabella, Campbell, Brynlee, Cameron, Lochlan, Cali and Elizabeth; his brother Aussie Mac Broadnax (Carol) of Seaboard; and his nieces and nephews, Darian Morgan, Ruth A. Eaton, Sona C. Scott, Crysta Hines, Melvetta B. Taylor, Angelo P. Broadnax, Theodore D. Faison and Robert D. Faison.
