He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson P. Shughart and Cordelia Shughart (Ripple); and his brothers, Gary and Alfred Shughart. He is survived by: his close friend Mary Eileen Kuhn (Burd) of Carlisle; and his siblings, Shirley Burttorff, Elwood Shughart, Elaine Paulus, Lynda Shughart and Kevin Shughart.
