She was predeceased by: her parents, John Burkholder and Mary Burkholder (Mohler); her husband J. Grant Shatzer, Jr.; and her siblings, Jack and Mary Catherine.

She is survived by: her daughter Linda Miller Shatzer; her granddaughter Corrine Miller; her great grandchild Zoe; and her brother Richard M. Burkholder (Nancy).

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Church of Christ (30 N Pitt St, Carlisle, PA 17013). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Westminster Memorial Gardens (1159 Newville Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013).

“I first met Ann in July, 1967 when I began working at Dickinson College. Over the next 30 plus years I called her desk phone so many times I couldn’t count. She was always there with an answer to my question, and put her special spin on the subject. It was a pleasure to work with her. My condolences to her family with my deep sympathy.
