She was predeceased by: her parents, John Albert Steele and Gail Elizabeth Berry (Group); her spouses, Major Robert E. (Ret) and Highlands, Jr.; her son SSgt Ronald E. (Ret); and her siblings, John Steele and Gail Looney (Steele).
She is survived by: her son Rev. Robert E. Highlands, III (Patti) of Lacey, WA; her granddaughter April Outlaw (Raymond) of Olympia, WA; her children, Liam, Rhys, Aaron Highlands (Ellie) of Des Moines, WA, Drew Highlands (Hattie) of Ballard, WA and Russell E. Highlands (Denise) of Carlisle; her grandchildren, Sara and Kevin; her son Raymond E. Highlands (Lisa) of Carlisle; her granddaughter Lila; her daughter Laura Shotto (Dustin) of Carlisle; her grandchildren, Michael and Diana; and her daughter-in-law Theresa Highlands of Newville.
Viewing will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home (630 S Hanover St, Carlisle, PA 17013). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
