He was predeceased by: his former wife Suzanne Strayer; and his wife Diane Kelsch. He is survived by: his children, Deborah L. Block (Michael) of Carlisle, PA, Lisa Burgin Vaccarelli (Jay) of Media, PA, Micki Burgin Paxton (Dave) of Carlisle, PA, Mimi Truex of Indianapolis, IN and Dr. Alex B Burgin, Jr. (Pamela) of Boston, MA; his grandchildren, Jason Vaccarelli (Katie), Jodi Comunale (Fred), Ryan Burgin, Britney Burgin (Dan), Alex "Lex" B Burgin III (Kyra), Grace Burgin, Alison Jeffirs and Jackson Truex; his great grandchildren, Lia, Vincent, Ayden, Addy, Elliott and Johanna; his grandchildren, Mary Spanos, Tommy Spanos, Jonathan Spanos, Althea Novak, Scott Novak, Sophia Novak, John McKeehan and Sherry McKeehan; his brother Dr. Walter H Burgin Jr. (Barbara); his nieces, Christine Burgin (William) and Jennifer Burgin; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Atlas, Lola, Luke (Mollie) and Reed.
