It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William R. Wallis Jr. of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Wallis and Eva Sutton Wallis; and his brothers, Robert S. Wallis and John O. Wallis. He is survived by: his wife Florence Jones Wallis; his children, Lynn Wallis (Randy) and William Wallis III (Kristen); his grandchildren, Chelsea McDonald (Mason), Emily Wallis, Megan Wallis, John Raymond Wallis and Matthew Wallis; and his great grandchildren, Jameson McDonald and Maxen McDonald.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carbondale Historical Society, P.O. Box 151, Carbondale, PA 18407 as Bill was an incredibly proud resident of Carbondale, and would happily tell anyone who would listen about how great a city Carbondale really is….
