He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lewis and Edna Poad Lewis; his brothers, Edgar and William Lewis; and his siblings-in-law, LaVonne Misner, Nancy Becker, Anthony Galko, Robert Becker and Robert Stephens.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Misner; his children, Robert Lewis, Jr. (Patricia) of Carbondale, Jennifer Lewis of Carbondale and Harley Lewis of Carbondale; his grandson Robert Lewis (Kristy) of Chapel Hill, NC; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Abigail, Savannah and Madison Lewis; his sisters-in-law, Linda Galko, Patricia Calabro (Chip) and Cynthia Stephens; and also, Mary Ann and Joanne Shaw. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
