She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis R. Adams and Gladys M. Dimmock Adams; her son David Race; her grandson Dennis DeNike; and her siblings, Robert W. Adams and Betty Jane Russell.
She is survived by: her husband Jack; her children, Jacqueline DeNike (William) and John Race; and her grandchildren, Robin Mizerak (Dave), Rick DeNike (Lisa), Wendy Hartman (Dave), Jill Tomaine (Mark), Chad DeNike (Heather), Stephanie Blumenthal (Dave), Jennifer DeNike (Markus), Teddy DeNike, Kirstie Swanson (Jeff), Josh Race (Jingyi), Emily Race Nemark (Charlie) and Jenna Race. She is also survived by 16 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations were made in Katherine's name to the Carbondale Public Library, 5 North Main Street, Carbondale Pa 18407.
