He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Marie McDonough; his parents, Samuel, Sr. Laguzzi and Theresa Ross Laguzzi; his siblings, Donna Laguzzi, Ann Marie Pauswinski and Frederick Laguzzi; and his sister-in-law Jean Laguzzi.
He is survived by: his pet Scout; his sons, Joseph P. Laguzzi (Amy) of Clifford Township, PA and David Laguzzi (Kimberly) of Scranton, PA; his grandchildren, Mia and Christopher Laguzzi; his siblings, Samuel Laguzzi, Jr. (Patricia) of Forest City, PA, Anthony Laguzzi of Browndale, PA, John Laguzzi (Sharron) of Carbondale, PA, Thomas Laguzzi (Gloria) of Carbondale, PA, Michael Laguzzi of Carbondale, PA, Angela Saltisiak (Peter) of Simpson, PA and Mary Wielebinski of Forest City, PA; his sister-in-law Lucille McDonough of Carbondale, PA; and his caregivers, Erin and Mona. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (89 Farview St, Carbondale, PA 18407). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (15 Fallbrook St, Carbondale, PA 18407). A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM at the Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery (400 PA-106, Greenfield Township, PA 18407).
