We are sad to announce that on June 7, 2021, at the age of 91, Joanne Swartz of Carbondale, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ezra R. Swartz; her parents, Murvington Ort and Viola Cesario Ort; and her siblings, Janice Granville, Corrine Blake, Murvington and Harold Ort.

She is survived by: her children, Ezra Swartz of Carbondale, PA, Stephen Swartz of Scranton, PA, Barbara Shust of Carbondale, PA and Susan Swartz of South Bridge, MA. She is also survived by five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
