It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude (Tokarchick) Fedak of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 11, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Basil Fedak; her parents, Andrew Tokarchick and Anna Suchick Tokarchick; and her siblings, John, Peter, Paul, William "Wash", Andrew Tokarchick, Julia Hodgetts, Mary Lesak, Anna Bartasavage, HelenNayduch and Florence Vaverchak.

She is survived by: her children, Laura (Alan Gillow) and Bill Fedak (Cathi); and her grandchildren, Abigail, Victoria, Elizabeth, Julia, Max Gillow, Jake and Noah Fedak. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, Il 60601.

“Dear Family of Gertrude, I lived two doors from Gertrude for a few years, she was such a delight, when I moved in to Carbondale in 2012 we quickly became friends. I would often sit on her porch with her, sharing cookies I brought and petting her dog. She had such a sweet personality and endless energy. 2020 kept us from seeing each other but just last week we got to spend some time talking at the door. I will cherish the time we spend, and am very sorry for your loss. Mary Wade”
