With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Monahan Jr. of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 4, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife MaryAnn Nemetz Monahan; his parents, Edward J. Monahan and Beatrice Flannery Monahan; and his brothers-in-law, Joseph Plonski and Frank McAndrew.

He is survived by: his sons, Martin Monahan (Christine) and Michael Monahan (Karen); his granddaughter Emma Monahan; and his sisters, Beatrice Plonski and Mary McAndrew of Wilmington, DE. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19, there will be no public calling hours.
