It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Schermerhorn of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas W. Schermerhorn; her parents, Patrick "Thatcher" and Placidia Kerl Moran; and her brothers, William, Francis, Patrick and Joseph Moran.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Thomas Schermerhorn (Jennifer) of Wamego, KS and Susan Green (Thomas) of Honesdale, PA; her grandchildren, Jacob, Lucy, Sam Schermerhorn and Alison Green; and her siblings, Joan Murphy (Gene) of Clifton, NJ and John Moran (Theresa) of Carbondale, PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
