She was predeceased by: her husband Charles M. Lynady; her parents, Ivan Milton "Pat" Barney and Sarah Adams Barney; her son Edward Lynady; and her siblings, Kermit, Darryl, Jerry Barney, Gail Cain, Deanna Counterman and Sonya Mullisky.
She is survived by: her children, C. J. Lynady (Cindy Harvey) of Carbondale, PA and April Short (James) of Browndale, PA; her grandchildren, Charles Lynady, Heather Lynady, Jimmy Short (Sarah), Kelsey Short (Chad Griffith), Jason Lynady and Dawn Lynady; her great grandchildren, Charles IV, Christopher James, Sierra, Konrad, Isabella and Abbey; and her sisters, Marbeth Tate of Florida and Patrice Cost of Hop Bottom, PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, loved her scratch off lottery tickets and assisted with fundraising for the Toys For Tots Foundation.
