He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Madeleine Thoren; his daughter Elizabeth Hill; his wife Elizabeth Carolyn Thoren; his children, Robert Thoren, Chris (Pam), Karen (Scott Norton) and Gretchen (Nick Shaffer); and his sisters, Linnea (Jay Brown) of Port Republic, NJ and Louise Marie Thoren. He was also cherished by 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
