It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Avants (Canton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on August 1, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Avants and Beatrice Avants (Woodward); his brother Timmy Avants Sr.; and his brother-in-law Bob Fuller. He is survived by: his wife Connie Ameigh; his children, James Avants (Lynsey), Jody Matthews (Thomas Krise) and Jennifer Gilbert (Dave); his stepchildren, Jeff Packard (Jennifer), Marcy Packard (Bryan) and Wendy Spalding (Curt); his grandchildren, Byron, Brendan Matthews, Evan, Layla Avants, Dane, Demetri, Lanaya, Lily Packard, Corrine Chilson, Madison Tice, Jake Randall, Blake, Tyler Spalding, Arica Jennings, Taylor, Trisha and Tara Gilbert; and his sisters, Glenda Fuller and June Jackson (Paul).
