He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Best and Gertrude R. Best (Bassett); his siblings, Robert Best (Marge), Betty Morgan (Glenn), James Best, Marty Best, Lloyd Best and Beatrice Best; his siblings-in-law, Robert Ward and Lenora Best; his nephew Tim Ward; and his stepdaughter Kim Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Kathlene Best; his stepchildren, Sam Palmer (Connie May) of Canton, Ronald D. Palmer (Linda) of Ohio and Bobbie Jean Gibson (Jeff) of Waymart; and his siblings, Doris Wright of New York, Janice Ward of Granville and Paul Best of Canton.
