It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elvira Martys (Canonsburg, Pennsylvania), who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elvira Martys to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Palumbo and Assunta Mark Palumbo. She is survived by: her husband Stanley F. Martys; her sons, Lawrence Martys (Scott) of Pittsburgh and Robert Martys (Holly) of Pittsburgh; her grandchildren, Heather Richardson (Matt) and Michael Martys (Patrizia); her sister Delores McHalpine (Michael); her great grandchildren, Briana and Madeline Richardson; and her siblings, Philip "Junior" Palumbo, Edith Palumbo and Delia Palumbo. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home (194 E College St, Canonsburg, PA 15317). A prayer was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Church (317 W Pike St, Canonsburg, PA 15317).
