He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Hemmis and Agnes Hemmis (Yingling); and his wife Myra Lee Shaw. He is survived by: his children, Tim (Heidi), Sandy Lai (Andrew), Jeff (Jackie), Sue Kita (Jim), Rob (Mary Ann) and Wes. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
