She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Church and Julia McCubbins Church; and her husband Reverend James S. Irwin. She is survived by: her family, Buff Cocker Spaniels, Lucky and Mooch; her children, Charles "Skip" I Irwin (Gealean) of Washington and Terry Poling (Bruce) of West Mifflin; and her siblings, Betsy Kurth, Ben and Robert Church. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
