He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob F. Decker and Gladys E. Decker (Staples). He is survived by: his wife Rose M. Decker; his children, Edward J. Jr. (Judy Decker), Moria (Troy Fenstermaker), Christina Simon, Raymond Decker, Electa (Al Lavin), Charles (Deirdre Decker), Corinne (Paul Johnson) and Lenndra (Tony Frecker); and his sister Mary (Jim Possinger). He is also survived by his 26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
