He was predeceased by: his son William S.; his daughter-in-law Kathryn Nelson; his sister Marian; and his brother-in-law Galen Mosser. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Nelson (Steffy); his sons, Robert A. Nelson (Sallie) of Pinetop-Lakeside, AZ and David L. Nelson (Donna) of Camp Hill; his grandchildren, Monica Nelson Smith (Josh), William S. Nelson Jr. (Kellie), David L. Nelson Jr. and Ashley A. Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Leah, Connor Nelson and William D. Smith.
